Greens247 - Hosting & Security Services Agreement

Last Revised: 24 May 2026

1. Overview

The Greens247 Universal Terms of Service Agreement (the “UTOS”) sets forth the general terms and conditions of your use of the Greens247 website and all Services. This Hosting & Security Services Agreement (this “Service Agreement”) specifically governs your use of Greens247’s hosting and security services (the “Hosting Services”).

This Service Agreement operates in conjunction with, and supplements, the UTOS. Capitalized terms used, but not explicitly defined, in this Service Agreement are defined in the UTOS. In the event of a direct conflict between the provisions of the UTOS and the provisions of this Service Agreement, the provisions of this Service Agreement shall control strictly with respect to the Hosting Services.

2. Description of Services

We offer varying tiers of Hosting Services. The specific resources allocated to you (e.g., storage, RAM, CPU cores, bandwidth, and included features) are dictated by the specific plan you purchase at checkout.

  • Web Hosting (Shared Hosting): Your website is placed within one or more servers, and underlying hardware resources are shared among multiple customers. You are provided with a control panel to manage your specific allocated environment.
  • Website Builder Hosting: A streamlined shared hosting environment provisioned specifically with an integrated drag-and-drop website builder. You are provided direct access to the builder interface via your client portal to design and manage your site. You acknowledge and agree that websites created using this proprietary builder tool rely on specific integrated frameworks. As a result, your website design, structure, and underlying code may not be fully exportable, transferable, or compatible with other hosting providers or separate Content Management Systems (CMS) if you choose to cancel or migrate away from this specific Service.
  • Cloud Hosting: Your environment operates on shared infrastructure but is partitioned with strictly isolated, dedicated resource limits (e.g., guaranteed RAM and CPU allocations) to ensure enhanced performance and stability unimpacted by other users. You are provided with a control panel to manage your specific allocated environment.
  • Reseller Hosting: You are allocated a pool of server resources and administrative access on a control panel allowing you to create, package, and resell individual shared hosting sub-accounts to your own clients. You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for providing technical support to your end-users and ensuring that your clients strictly adhere to the terms of this Agreement.
  • Managed WordPress Hosting: A streamlined environment specifically optimized for WordPress. We handle basic administrative tasks at the server level, including initial WordPress installation, server-level caching, and core vulnerability patching.
  • Node.js Hosting: A specialized environment based on our Cloud Hosting service but with higher resource allocations configured specifically to run Node.js applications. To maximize application performance, this specific hosting tier does not include email hosting services. You are given a control panel to manage your environment.
  • Odoo Hosting: It is based on our Unmanaged Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting service, but pre-provisioned with an image of the open-source edition of Odoo Community enterprise resource planning (ERP). While the initial setup is automated, this remains an unmanaged environment where you retain full administrative control and responsibility. Because you possess root access, you may install Odoo Enterprise provided you maintain your own valid license directly with Odoo S.A.
  • Unmanaged Virtual Private Server (VPS): Your environment is isolated within a shared physical server. You are granted full administrator (root) access, a dedicated IP address, and complete control over the configuration of your virtual instance. You are exclusively responsible for all server administration, patching, and security.
  • Unmanaged Dedicated Server: An entire physical bare-metal server is reserved exclusively for your account and usage. You have exclusive rights to the server's bandwidth, memory, and storage capabilities. You are exclusively responsible for all server administration, software installations, and security.
  • Managed cPanel/Plesk Servers (VPS or Dedicated): A VPS or Dedicated Server environment where Greens247 provisions the infrastructure with a control panel. You are provided with non-root administrative control panel access allowing you to create, package, and resell individual shared hosting sub-accounts to your own clients or for your own websites. You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for providing technical support to your end-users and ensuring that your clients, if any, strictly adhere to the terms of this Agreement. Greens247 retains sole, exclusive root access to the server and assumes responsibility for core server management, including operating system updates, patching cycles, and basic server-level security maintenance. Because of how this service is integrated with our management infrastructure, you will not be granted root access under any circumstances. You remain strictly responsible for updating and securing your individual website applications, scripts, plugins, and code hosted within the environment. If you require root access in the future, you must purchase a suitable unmanaged server and self-migrate your data, or Greens247 may perform the migration for an additional fee.
  • Email Hosting: A specialized shared hosting environment restricted exclusively to email functionality (accessible via IMAP, POP3, SMTP, and Webmail). Website building, database, and general file hosting features are disabled on this tier.
  • Third-Party Email & Productivity Suites (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365): If you purchase third-party email or productivity suites through us, you acknowledge that Greens247 acts solely as a billing reseller. The underlying infrastructure is provided directly by the third-party vendor (e.g., Google, Microsoft), and your use of the service is strictly governed by that vendor’s respective Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policies, and Privacy Policies. Greens247 expressly disclaims all liability for uptime, data retention, or service delivery related to third-party suites.
  • SSL Certificates: We offer third-party SSL certificates for purchase. You acknowledge that Greens247 acts solely as a reseller for the respective Certificate Authority (CA). The issuance, validation, and revocation of certificates are governed entirely by the CA's terms and conditions. Greens247 makes no guarantees regarding the validation timeframe. We are not liable for any security breaches, SEO impacts, or browser warnings resulting from expired, misconfigured, or revoked certificates. Unless explicitly included in a fully managed service tier, the installation and configuration of the SSL certificate remain your exclusive responsibility.
  • Email Security & Filtering (e.g., SpamExperts): We offer third-party email routing and filtering services designed to mitigate spam and malicious incoming/outgoing mail. You acknowledge that Greens247 acts solely as a billing intermediary for these services. While these tools are designed to improve email security, no filtering system is perfect. Greens247 explicitly disclaims all liability for "false positives" (legitimate emails blocked, bounced, or quarantined) or "false negatives" (spam or malicious emails successfully delivered to your inbox).
  • Hosting Migrations: If requested, we may attempt to assist you in migrating your data from a third-party host to Greens247. Migrations are provided as a courtesy on a "best-effort" basis. We make no guarantees regarding the possibility or time required to complete a migration, as proprietary formats at third-party hosts may restrict data portability. You are strictly responsible for backing up your data before requesting a migration and verifying the accuracy of the migrated content.

3. Account Security and Customer Obligations

3.1 Unmanaged vs. Managed Responsibilities

Unless you specifically purchase a "Fully Managed Support" tier, all VPS and Dedicated Server plans are strictly unmanaged. This means you are exclusively responsible for all server administration, including but not limited to: operating system updates, kernel patching, firewall configuration, software installations, and security hardening. Greens247’s responsibility is strictly limited to maintaining the physical hardware and network availability.

3.2 Storage, Backups, and Disaster Recovery

You are solely responsible for undertaking measures to: (1) prevent any loss or damage to your website or server content; (2) maintain independent archival and backup copies of your data off-site; and (3) ensure the security, confidentiality, and integrity of all your content transmitted through or stored on our servers.

Our primary servers are not an archive. While Greens247 may perform network-level disaster recovery backups, these are for internal administrative use only. We shall have absolutely no liability to you or any other person for the loss, damage, or destruction of any of your content. You are strongly encouraged to purchase a dedicated Backup solution (such as JetBackup or external S3 storage) and configure automated backup cycles.

3.3 Regulatory Compliance Disclaimers

The Hosting Services are not provisioned by default to be a Payment Card Industry (PCI) or Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliant environment. You are strictly prohibited from utilizing standard Hosting Services to store unencrypted credit card data (PCI-DSS) or Protected Health Information (PHI). You retain ultimate responsibility for ensuring your application and data architecture meet the legal and regulatory requirements of your specific industry.

3.4 Email Client Configuration and IT Support Boundaries

For all hosting services, email services provided or resold by Greens247 (including standard cPanel email, Email Hosting plans, and third-party suites like Google Workspace or Microsoft 365), Greens247 will provide the necessary server connection credentials (e.g., IMAP, POP3, and SMTP port settings). However, Greens247 does not act as your internal IT department. We explicitly do not provide IT help desk support, remote desktop assistance, or troubleshooting for configuring third-party local email clients (including, but not limited to, Microsoft Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, or mobile devices). The configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of local software and personal devices remain your exclusive responsibility.

3.5 Mandatory Outbound Mail Filtering

To protect the integrity of our network, maintain global IP reputation, and ensure high deliverability rates for all customers, all outbound email originating from Greens247 infrastructure (including Web Hosting, Cloud Hosting, Reseller Hosting, and Managed cPanel Servers) is mandatorily routed through our outbound spam and virus filtering gateways. This security measure is a permanent component of our network infrastructure and will not be disabled or bypassed under any circumstances. Greens247 reserves the right to automatically drop, quarantine, or reject any outbound messages flagged by our filtering systems as spam, malware, or otherwise malicious, without prior notice to the sender.

4. Resource Limits and Fair Use

4.1 Plan Specifications

You acknowledge that all hosting plans are subject to strict technical limitations regarding CPU usage, RAM allocation, disk I/O, database sizes, concurrent connections, and inode (file count) limits. These exact specifications are defined on the Greens247 website service pages corresponding to your purchased plan.

4.2 Unlimited Storage/Bandwidth Policies

Where a Shared Web Hosting or WordPress plan is advertised as having "unlimited" bandwidth or disk space, this is subject to fair use. These plans are designed to host standard personal and small business websites. You may not use "unlimited" shared hosting environments for:

  • (1) Enterprise-scale media streaming (audio/video);
  • (2) File sharing, mirroring, or distribution sites;
  • (3) Backup repositories for off-site computers or external databases;
  • (4) Cryptographic mining operations.

In the event your resource usage presents a risk to the stability, performance, or uptime of our servers, we reserve the right to temporarily throttle your resources, require you to upgrade to a VPS or Dedicated Server, or immediately suspend your Account.

5. Security Threats and Malicious Content

5.1 Zero Tolerance for Network Abuse

You may not use our servers or your website as a source, intermediary, or destination address for DDoS attacks, mail bombs, packet flooding, network scanning, or any other abusive activities that threaten the stability of our network or our upstream infrastructure partners. Server hacking or the perpetration of security breaches is strictly prohibited.

5.2 Incident Remediation Rights

Greens247 employs automated security systems to scan hosted environments for malicious content (e.g., malware, phishing kits, exploit scripts). If your hosted account is compromised, you acknowledge and agree that Greens247 reserves the absolute right to instantly take whatever steps it deems reasonably necessary to mitigate the threat to the wider network. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Null-routing your IP address.
  • Disabling access to your control panel.
  • Quarantining or automatically deleting malicious files without prior notice.
  • Permanently suspending the compromised account.

6. Third-Party Software and Licensing

6.1 Definition and Scope

As part of the Hosting Services, you may request the installation of, or be provided access to, software, control panels, and applications developed by third-party vendors (e.g., cPanel, WHM, Plesk, CloudLinux, LiteSpeed, Softaculous, WHMCS) (collectively, “Third-Party Software”).

6.2 End User License Agreements (EULAs)

Your use of Third-Party Software is strictly governed by the specific End User License Agreement (EULA) of that respective vendor. By utilizing a hosting service configured with such software, you agree to be bound by the vendor’s terms. You may not remove, modify, reverse-engineer, or obscure any proprietary rights notices contained in the Third-Party Software.

6.3 Licensing Compliance

If you circumvent licensing restrictions or utilize nulled/pirated software on your Greens247 server, Greens247 reserves the right to immediately terminate your Hosting Services to protect our partner standing with upstream software vendors. Greens247 makes no representations or warranties regarding Third-Party Software and expressly disclaims any liability arising from its use.

7. Service Level Agreement (SLA) & Uptime Guarantee

7.1 The 99.9% Uptime Guarantee

Greens247 offers a Service Uptime Guarantee of 99.9% of available time per calendar month for network and server availability.

7.2 SLA Credits

If we fail to maintain this 99.9% guarantee in a particular month (as solely determined by our internal monitoring systems), you may contact our billing department within thirty (30) days of the outage to request a service credit. Approved SLA credits will be equal to 5% of your monthly hosting fee for that specific impacted Service. This credit may only be applied to future Greens247 invoices and cannot be refunded as cash.

7.3 SLA Exclusions

The Service Uptime Guarantee strictly does not apply to downtime or service interruptions caused by:

  • (1) Scheduled maintenance, hardware upgrades, or emergency patching;
  • (2) Interruptions caused by your own custom scripting, coding errors, or misconfigurations;
  • (3) Outages caused by malicious activity directed at your specific account (e.g., you are the target of a DDoS attack);
  • (4) Suspensions for billing or Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) violations;
  • (5) Force Majeure events or upstream Tier-1 carrier outages beyond our reasonable control.

8. End-of-Life (EOL) Software Policy

To ensure the security of our network, Greens247 will only support software, operating systems, and scripting languages (e.g., PHP versions) that are actively maintained by their developers.

When a vendor declares a product End-of-Life (EOL), Greens247 reserves the right to force-upgrade your environment to a supported version, or require you to migrate your application, with or without prior notice. Greens247 is not liable for any website breakage, code incompatibility, or data loss resulting from the deprecation of EOL software or forced security upgrades.

9. Account Termination and Data Deletion

9.1 IP Address Relinquishment

Upon expiration or termination of your Hosting Services, you must immediately relinquish the use of any IP addresses and server names assigned to you, and point your DNS records away from our infrastructure.

9.2 Data Destruction

Prior to the termination of your Hosting Services, it is your exclusive responsibility to export and move your website or server content off our servers. Once a Hosting Service is canceled, terminated for non-payment, or expires, Greens247 will initiate an automated wiping process. All data, configurations, and backups associated with that Service will be permanently and irrevocably deleted. We will not be able to provide a copy of such content after cancellation under any circumstances.
